Fire Inspections

The Fire Marshal is responsible for plan review and inspections to ensure the proper installation of life safety requirements, fire suppression and extinguishing systems, and fire alarm systems. The Fire Marshal also conducts life safety fire inspections of existing commercial, industrial and multi-family residential structures, child care centers, and daycare homes to ensure continued compliance with Minnesota State Fire and Building Code for the safety of the building occupants, the volunteer firefighters and for our community.

Fire safety inspections are completed, as needed, throughout the community.  Many code violations are minor in nature; however they can easily be the main cause of a fire in your home or business. If you have questions concerning Fire Safety or Code concerns, please contact the Inspections Department at (507) 637-5755 or at inspections@ci.redwood-falls.mn.us
